Runnin'
from a Broken Heart
by
Buck Cash
People ask me,
"Aren't you tired of travelin' around?"
"Why'd you trade a home for a book full of
songs?"
"Whatcha gonna do when you're old and alone?"
"Livin' on the road must be doin' ya wrong!"
But people don't you think I've tried settlin' down?
Every time I did I got screwed around!
I've had women tear my world apart!
You might say I'm runnin' from a broken heart.
For love I've lost my heart, soul and mind.
I've even gone to jail, lost my money and pride.
I've drank, swore and cried, tossed and turned all night,
And I woke up alone
