Love so
Strong
Buck Cash
No love, so strong, was ever
born,
As that he longed to share.
Her beauty swept him far away,
To where he didn't care.
For him, no lover could exist,
To steal his heart away.
But she was caught up in a mist,
That hid the light of day.
And so he lived, this dreaming man,
Alone, but never free.
Trying to forget the past,
And living things to be.
He knew, perhaps, he should let go,
And leave it where it be.
But love, so strong, could not be calmed;
It showed for all to see.
For him, a patient man no doubt,
The years went slowly by.
But nothing ever changes,
And it doesn't help to cry.
And so he lived, this dreaming man,
Alone, but never free.
Trying to forget the past,
And living things to be.
